Job Summary and Qualifications

The Regional Controller is responsible for the daily operations of the Accounting department including financial systems and processes, internal controls, safeguarding of assets, and monthly accounting close. Responsible for the related staff performance and facilitates the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accordance with department policies and procedures to meet company and regulatory requirements.

What you will do in this role:

  • Performs Division/Corporate accounting assignments and supervises all accounting department operations.
  • Directs the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports and assures the reports fairly reflect the financial position of the surgery centers.
  • Performs financial review and analysis and assists in managing and coordinating multiple general ledgers and facilitates month end close process.
  • Oversees internal controls, safeguarding of assets, and provides direction to staff accountants as required to ensure position goals are met on a continuous and consistent basis.
  • Identifies areas to develop systems, methods and processes to improve performance. Responsible for the coordination of the internal audit functions between the surgery centers and Audit and Consulting
  • Assists with preparation of budget and preparation of other financial information as necessary.
  • Identifies and reports undesirable trends and potential business opportunities and makes recommendations for action.
  • Assists the surgery centerโ€™s staff with accounting issues and provides training and education as necessary.
  • Orients and trains staff accountants.

What you will need:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • At least 4 years accounting experience required
  • CPA preferred
  • 2 yearsโ€™ experience in healthcare preferred
  • Based in Dallas, TX
