Job description

The Security & Transportation Associate is responsible for the safe and secure operation of Company facilities, the delivery of inventory to dispensaries across the state in compliance with state regulations and supports the transfer of product/inventory throughout the production facility. This position is responsible for providing a safe, orderly, and secure environment for all staff, visitors, the public, and the general community. This is a non-armed position.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Follows instructions given by the manager
  • Monitor facility cameras, alarm system, and daily operations to protect against internal and external threats to the Company, including theft and violence
  • Monitor door access for vendors and visitors and escort throughout the facility
  • Conduct inspections of the property and premises on a regular basis
  • Respond to incidents, whether emergency or other, to maintain safety and security
  • Initiate notification of incidents to appropriate management and escalates to external response teams when necessary (e.g. police and emergency response)
  • Document incidents using standard incident report forms
  • Load delivery van and perform compliant transportation of product to vendors
  • Follows prescribed delivery routes and reports any deviation from the planned route and any vehicle stops outside the scope of deliveryto the assigned transport monitor
  • Support inter-facility deliveries and transfers
  • Complete required security/transportation documentation including, but not limited to manifests, invoices, inspection documents, incident reports, etc.
  • Complete assigned tasks within the established timeframes and specifications
  • Compliant with Company SOPs and state regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Follow applicable safety procedures by wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to management
  • Behave in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamwork
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous work experience in law enforcement or security preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for at least 10 hours
  • Ability to drive for a full shift for at least 10 hours
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Visual acuity needed for viewing screens and fine print
  • Manual dexterity needed for data entry

Workplace Environment

  • Warehouse and office environment with fluorescent lighting, no windows
  • Moderate background noise level due to HVAC and machinery
  • Frequent exposure to external weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow
  • Frequent exposure to cannabis odor; occasional exposure to product dust

Pay range: $17.00 - $19.52
