Position Title: Wheelchair Agent
Location: Norfolk International Airport (ORF)
Compensation: $14.50 per hour + tips
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: Night Shift (4:00 PM โ€“ 12:30 AM)*
*End time may extend beyond 12:30 AM based on operational requirements

Huntleigh USA is seeking customer serviceโ€“focused professionals to join our team as Wheelchair Agents at Norfolk International Airport. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting passengers with reduced mobility while supporting a safe, efficient, and welcoming airport environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Escort passengers in wheelchairs throughout the airport, including terminals, checkpoints, and gate areas

  • Provide courteous, respectful assistance to passengers, ensuring comfort and ease throughout their travel experience

  • Maintain timely communication with dispatchers, gate agents, and airline personnel

  • Comply with all TSA, airport, and company safety and security policies

  • Accurately record passenger interactions and document any incidents as required

  • Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while representing Huntleigh USA


Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and remain on your feet for the entirety of the shift

  • Ability to bend, squat, push, and stand for prolonged periods

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English

  • Reliable transportation and dependable contact information

  • Ability to successfully complete required drug and alcohol screenings (DOT/Non-DOT)

  • High school diploma or GED (required in select locations)

  • Paid training provided by Huntleigh USA and partnering airlines

  • Professional appearance required: company-issued uniform, neat grooming, no visible tattoos above the neck or below the wrist, and no facial piercings
