Your role at Clorox:
The Regional Transportation Manager (RTM) is responsible for the transportation operations within a given North American geographic region, leading a transportation spend exceeding $50M. Critical responsibilities include daily operations oversight as well as the development and execution of short and long term transportation strategies.
In this role, you will:
  • Develop and actively handle a carrier portfolio and leverage critical truckload and intermodal transportation carrier relationships to deliver short and long-term business objectives
  • Lead efforts for continuous service level improvements, engaging all involved parties (internal and external).
  • Fully own the truckload and Intermodal transportation costs for assigned geographic region. Proactively address cost drivers and aggressively eliminate variances and drive out waste to deliver value-creation.
  • Provide direction and oversight to 3PL partners managing daily freight execution
  • Partner with Customer Support, Customer Supply Chain and DC Operations and the business teams on strategic projects, providing transportation insights, subject matter expertise, and transportation solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally to minimize service disruptions
  • Ensure impactful supply chains are established and maintained.
  • Stay on top of industry/market conditions and trends and leverage industry resources and knowledge to provide insight, identify best practices and new technology to get results

What we look for:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in Transportation
  • 3 years of experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  • Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain or logistics management
  • Proven leadership with the ability to influence and turn ideas into actions
  • Strong carrier, customer or supplier management experience (including negotiation tactics and performance management)
  • Experience with the development of forecasts/budgets and managing operations against a forecast/budget.
  • Ability to monitor and report out on performance on daily, weekly, and monthly basis

Hybrid - 3 days a week in office; 2 days a week from home.

-Zone B: $100,300 - $192,500
