Job description

Transportation Director

Job Summary:

The Transportation Director will schedule and coordinate transportation services for residents as well as provide the transportation of patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers and private residences in a safe, secure, and professional manner.

Essential Duties:

·      Provides a high level of customer service and assistance while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outings in accordance with safety standards.

·      Is responsible for the safety of residents at all times. Monitors resident safety on the bus, while boarding and departing the vehicle as well as the entrance and exit of buildings.

·      Responsible for general upkeep of the vehicle including inspections, regularly scheduled maintenance, and all required paperwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

·      High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

·      Active Illinois Driver’s License, meeting DOT required vehicle licensure and physical.
