Overview
LabConnect improves lives by partnering with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and clinical research organizations (CROs) to accelerate the development of new medicines around the world.
We are an independent, global, one-stop-shop focused on delivering Central Laboratory Services that are tailor-made, timely and flexible to meet the evolving study demands of traditional to increasingly complex trials. Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions.
The Project Coordinator within FSP Solutions will be responsible for providing operational support to Project Managers and scientific program leaders from the cross-functional translational research and OTR teams for one of our sponsors.
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days onsite in Spring House, PA or in Titusville, NJ, as well as 1-2 days per month travel between sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the operational management of multiple teams/stakeholders in a fast-paced, cross functional environment for low complexity projects
  • Coordinate agenda, track key actions/decisions, support stakeholders in task completion, collaboration and communication within translational research (TR) teams
  • Support cross-functional planning, budgeting, and resourcing activities while managing Key event maps (KEM) - timeline of costs and events
  • Provides support for strategic biomarker plans for trials (ensure creation and regular updates)
  • Assist with identifying and developing process improvement initiatives
  • Supports the delivery of TR status updates
  • Escalation of risks and proactive risk management
  • Align timelines across drug development path for a project
  • Understand decisions' flow in TR
  • Support TR teams and Project Managers during strategic budget review meetings where 'early budget read' is created
  • Partner with Project Managers, Biomarker and Translational Leaders to oversee budgets, create budget line items and ensure accurate projection to alleviate risks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Use technology solutions to support cross-functional translational research/OTR and Biomarker teams.

    • MS Teams (ex. Planner, enable team calendar), PPT, One Note, SharePoint, MS Project
    • Portfolio Dashboard (ex. Project view, team membership, milestones, trial timelines, upcoming project/work, budget, etc.)
    • Building capabilities within Planisware, Tableau VizCafe
    • Enable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics (Tableau)

Education and Experience
  • B.A./B.S. in Physical Sciences/Life Sciences or related scientific field required

  • Entry level with some relevant industry experience (>2 years)

  • Some experience managing projects, timelines, budgeting and forecasting preferred

  • Understanding of drug development and clinical trial processes preferred

  • Some sample management, analysis or sample tracking knowledge preferred

  • Proficient with computer literacy; MS Office, MS Project, Smartsheet and SharePoint

  • Demonstrated time management skills and organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute project tasks

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

While performing the duties of this job, the occupant is regularly required to:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged use of computer and headphones for conference calls.
  • Communicate effectively via phone, video, and email.
  • Use hands and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment.

Other Considerations:
  • Hybrid role, requiring up to 3 days per week on site in Spring House, PA or in Titusville, NJ. Other days are remote.
  • Ability to work and/or be available for meetings during the East Coast core working hours of 9am - 5pm, with flexibility to accommodate global time zones for meetings.
