Job description

Position Overview

Our organization is on the lookout for a skilled and collaborative physician to take on the role of Division Director within the Division of Midlife Health in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This opportunity is available for candidates at the Associate or Professor level and can be pursued on either a clinical or tenure track, based on qualifications and experience.

The selected individual will become part of a nationally esteemed Midlife Health Center, which is committed to delivering evidence-based, comprehensive care for women aged 40 and older. This role will also involve contributions to education, clinical practice, and research initiatives. The Midlife Health Center is among the few specialized facilities in the nation focusing on the health of women in midlife and beyond, recognized for outstanding patient satisfaction, evidence-based practices, educational excellence, and active community involvement.

Primary Duties

  • Lead the Midlife Health Division by providing expert care, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace, and serving as a role model for faculty and staff.

    • Formulate and execute both short- and long-term strategic plans aimed at clinical growth, education, and research.

    • Facilitate the education of fellows, residents, and medical students while ensuring adherence to ACGME and LCME standards.

    • Engage in clinical and/or translational research aligned with personal expertise and interests, promoting a research-oriented culture within the division.

  • Enhance the division's successful philanthropic initiatives in collaboration with development partners.

  • Generate opportunities for community engagement and education regarding midlife health issues within the local area and throughout the Commonwealth.

  • Strengthen the division's and faculty's esteemed reputation by participating in national and international societies and journals, while advocating for other division members' opportunities.

Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent degree (PhD is optional) by the start date.

  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

  • Certification as a Menopause Specialist by The Menopause Society.

  • Experience in clinical and/or translational research.

  • Demonstrated scholarly activity and a national reputation are preferred.
