Alpena/Alma, Michigan | Breast/IR RadiologistLicenses / Certifications
  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) or AOBR certified / Board-Eligible – REQUIRED
  • MQSA certification – REQUIRED
  • Breast or IR fellowship preferred, but significant practice experience considered
  • Must be comfortable working autonomously in rural sites
Schedule / Availability
  • Alternate track 5/9 schedule: 5 days on-site, 9 days off
  • Typical rotation: 3–4 days in Alpena, 1–2 days in Alma
  • Total required work days per year: 130 (26 weeks)
  • No evenings or weekend responsibilities
  • Travel between sites ~3 hours; living proximity flexible
Facility / Clinical Setting
  • Alpena: 139-bed hospital, Level III trauma, Lake Huron location
    • Procedures: IR drain placements, lumbar punctures, FL arthrograms, GI FL, paras, thoras, CT/US-guided biopsies, stereotactic & US-guided breast biopsies
    • Avg procedures per day: 11
    • One full-time APP on site
  • Alma: 107-bed teaching hospital
    • Focus on breast imaging, US/stereotactic biopsies, pre-surgical lesion localization
    • Additional procedures: thyroid nodule, lymph node, soft tissue biopsies, occasional cholecystostomy, CT lung/solid organ/soft tissue biopsies, abscess catheter placement, PICC placements, occasional joint arthrograms, HSGs, pain management
    • Avg procedures per day: 9
    • APP coverage 3 days per week
