• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly residents to identify specific emotional and psychological care needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on emotional challenges related to aging, addiction, and life transitions.
• Provide grief and loss counseling for residents and their families dealing with end-of-life issues, employing empathy and therapeutic practices that promote healing and acceptance.
• Educate caregivers and family members on strategies to bolster the emotional well-being of elderly clients, ensuring a holistic approach to their care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of counseling sessions, treatment plans, and client progress in accordance with organizational policies and state regulations.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and collaborate on treatment strategies that align with best practices in mental health care.

You will primarily work with seniors facing significant life transitions, such as coping with loss, dealing with chronic illness, or adjusting to changes in their living situations. Your expertise in addiction counseling will also play a critical role in supporting clients who may be struggling with substance use issues, ensuring they receive comprehensive care that addresses both their mental health and addiction needs.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Successful completion of a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting.
• Eligibility for licensure as a mental health counselor within the State of Florida.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing for potential travel needs related to patient engagement and community outreach.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective relationships with clients and team members.
• Strong listening abilities complemented by a genuine capacity for empathy, guiding clients through difficult conversations while providing actionable insights.
• Attention to detail in documentation and organizational tasks, ensuring a structured approach in managing client records and treatment plans.

• Experience in addiction counseling, particularly with older adult populations.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms, enhancing the delivery of remote therapy services.
• Ongoing participation in professional development related to mental health counseling and addiction treatment.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus to attract top talent.
