Tell me about this job. BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Project Manager to support the ICBM Systems Directorate as a Strategic Communications Project Manager. Key aspects of this job will be organizing, tracking, and coordinating congressional and public release information for the Program Execution Group and directorate leadership. Duties include strategic communications development, coordinating public affairs requests through security and policy reviews, and coordinating congressional communications within the ICBM Systems Directorate and across the ICBM enterprise. The candidate will coordinate communications through various levels of the Department of the Air Force and Department of War to include with multiple partner agencies and contractors. The candidate will operate in an organizational culture that develops and challenges employees to achieve high performance in a fast-paced, high-morale workplace using streamlined management policies and procedures.

In this position, you will provide direct support to a national security-critical weapon system throughout engineering development, deployment, and sustainment. Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status. This position is only located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, due to the special-access classified working environment and is not conducive to remote schedules.
Required Skills and Education
  • 6+ years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree; 4+ years with a master's degree
  • Strong organizational skills (can manage tasks and coordinate across offices toward the completion of tasks)
  • Understanding of the Air Force Acquisition and budget cycle process
  • Understanding of congressional organizations and authorities
  • Proficiency in communicating effectively across a broad spectrum of stakeholders and communication platforms
  • Time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks to completion by suspense dates
  • Communication skills ability to clearly speak and write at a professional level defining clear objectives to senior organizational leadership
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint as well as ability to learn and use legislative database and task management tracking systems
  • Exceptional customer relations and engagement skills
