Job description

Bus Driver

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our elite team in Commerce City, Colorado. As a key member, you will be entrusted with operating a 40-foot bus for RTD, ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Transdev is proud to offer:

$27.49 - $35.47 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement PayScale)

Starting pay: $27.49 with progression to $35.47 over 8 years.

$4,000 Sign-On Bonus — Offer valid through 06/30/2026

Pay raises twice per year

Benefits Include:

  • Competitive PTO package starting at 40 hours of vacation, 3 personal days, and paid sick leave at a rate that complies with Colorado law, up to48 hours per year.

Qualifications:

  • 19 years or older
  • Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement or permit (full-time paid training for obtaining CDL)
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills.
  • Availability to work, day, evening, weekend, holidays and overnight shifts as assigned.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
