Job Description
Part Time Senior Center Activity Planner the City of Avon Senior Center is seeking a Part-Time Transit Scheduler. The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to, the coordination of prescheduled and on demand requests for senior transportation services, monitors and schedules drivers and keeps and maintains records for transport activities for senior citizens. Organizational and Computer skills are a must, particularly with Microsoft suite, i.e. word and excel. Requirements: A valid Ohio driver's license with a clean record and the ability to pass all routine background checks and completion of secondary education, high school diploma or GED. The successful candidate would preferably have experience working with older adults, with scheduling software or equivalent, and at least 2 years of transit system knowledge or equivalent combination of training, education, or experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. Compensation will be based on experience with a range of $20.00 - $24.00 per hour. Normal senior center hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. Transportation hours are typically from 8:00am to 2:30pm but may be subject to change. The position has a maximum of 28 hours per week or less.
