What You’ll Do:
  • Safely operate a fixed-route MARTY bus on schedule.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all passengers.
  • Assist riders with boarding, seating, and mobility devices.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch via GPS, tablet, and two-way radio.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and transit safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the bus throughout your shift.
What You Need to Qualify:
  • Valid Florida CDL (Class B) with Passenger Endorsement.
  • At least 5 years of driving history with a clean record.
  • Valid DOT Medical Certification.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must successfully complete Level 2 background screening through Florida's Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse and maintain eligibility with the Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA): https://info.flclearinghouse.com/
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Martin County roads and landmarks.
  • Experience in passenger transportation or public transit.
  • Knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulations.
