Job Description

Rockwell Automation is looking for a Director, Global Market Access Strategy, Transformation & PMO to serve as a key member and business leader within the Global Market Access (GMA) organization. As part of the GMA team, the Director, Global Market Access Strategy, Transformation & PMO will shape and lead Rockwell's long-term strategic agenda within the global ecosystem.

You will ensure a global, future-oriented partner strategy- aligning with shifting market trends, developing and governing partner programs and tech stacks. You'll advise regional channel teams to achieve growth aligned with corporate strategy and product roadmaps; address market changes, macroeconomic conditions and portfolio complexity.

You'll identify critical growth opportunities within the channel, defining channel market strategies; including leading cross-functional transformation programs, and supporting strategic NPI and M&A activities. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to Global Sales & Marketing (GSM) leadership.

You will report to the Vice President, Global Market Access. You will have a hybrid in-office schedule, open to either Milwaukee, WI (HQ), Mayfield Heights, OH, Houston, TX or Austin, TX offices.

Your Responsibilities:Ecosystem Strategy & Market Leadership
  • Develop and execute a global partner ecosystem strategy aligned to corporate priorities, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Evolve distribution and SI models across regions (LATAM, EMEA, AP) to accelerate software ARR, NPIs, and inorganic growth.
  • Enable partners to position emerging technologies (OT/IT convergence, cybersecurity, robotics, software-defined architectures).
  • Serve as enterprise thought leader and advisor on channel and ecosystem strategy.
Strategic Planning & Growth Development
  • Build long-term ecosystem roadmaps grounded in market, competitive, and technology insights.
  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities across automation, IIoT, AI, and smart manufacturing.
  • Design go-to-market strategies and business cases for new channels, markets, and ecosystem models (sell-to, sell-through, sell-with).
Business Transformation & Execution
  • Lead enterprise transformation initiatives to drive channel-led growth.
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Product, Engineering, Operations) to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure disciplined execution through prioritization, resource allocation, and performance management.
M&A, Partnerships & Ecosystem Expansion
  • Shape ecosystem strategy supporting M&A, NPIs, and strategic partnerships (OEMs, SIs, technology alliances).
  • Lead due diligence, integration, and synergy realization.
  • Expand and optimize the global partner network to drive innovation and growth.
PMO & Portfolio Governance
  • Establish and lead a Global Market Access PMO governing strategic initiatives and transformations.
  • Standardize governance frameworks, program management, and stage-gate processes.
  • Drive portfolio prioritization, capacity planning, and executive visibility into performance, risks, and outcomes.
Partner Systems & PRM Strategy
  • Own global PRM strategy, operating model, and governance.
  • Design scalable partner workflows (onboarding, segmentation, incentives, deal registration, lifecycle management).
  • Ensure agreement to global standards while allowing regional flexibility.
Thought Leadership & External Positioning
  • Act as the internal and external voice on ecosystem trends and channel innovation in industrial automation.
  • Represent Rockwell Automation in critical industry forums and partner engagements.
  • Champion data-driven decision making and strategic innovation.
Financial & Operational Performance
  • Define and track KPIs to measure ecosystem and channel effectiveness.
  • Monitor program performance and adjust strategy as needed.
  • Drive portfolio optimization and value creation across the business.
Team Leadership & Cross-Enterprise Collaboration
  • Build and lead a high-performing strategy team; develop future leaders.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and communicate ecosystem strategy.
  • Drive alignment across regions and business units.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.

  • MBA or advanced technical degree
  • Typically requires 12+ years management experience.
  • Experience in strategy, corporate development, management consulting, or business leadership within industrial automation, advanced manufacturing, or industrial technology.
  • Expertise in modern selling and partnerled growth models
  • Proficient knowledge of automation technologies (PLCs, robotics, motion control, sensors, IIoT, SCADA/ MES, AI/ML in manufacturing).
  • Experience developing and delivering enterprise-level strategies with business leaders and partners in a complex global matrixed organization.
  • Leadership experience with financial modeling, analytics, and business case development skills.
  • Prior experience in a top consulting firm or strategy leadership role in a major, global automation company
  • Global experience with diverse manufacturing ecosystems within multiple regions.
