Senior Project Manager – Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, stakeholder management, risk management, and project delivery expertise, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while aligning with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management, from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, developers, architects, QA, vendors, and third-party partners.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking.
Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committee reviews, and executive status updates.
Ensure effective communication among stakeholders and executive leadership.
Drive project quality by ensuring adherence to organizational standards and best practices.
Manage change requests and evaluate their impact on scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
Monitor project performance using KPIs and project management tools.
Mentor project managers and team members while promoting continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies as appropriate.

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
8–12+ years of project management experience, with at least 3–5 years managing large-scale enterprise projects.
Proven experience leading cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid.
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholder communications.
Excellent leadership, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or SAFe certification.
Experience with cloud transformation, digital transformation, ERP, CRM, or enterprise application implementation projects.
Experience working in Agile environments and DevOps organizations.
