What You Will Do:

Federal Grants Management Transformation Consultants help our federal clients shape how their grants programs are structured, governed, and delivered; transform their grants management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness; modernize federal grants operations through data analytics, visualization, and AI-enabled tools; increase transparency and accountability for the federal funds distributed to grantees; and comply with Federal laws and regulations. As a consultant, you will be a critical member of your project teams, conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis; preparing and presenting well-organized, effective reports and presentations to clients and internal executives; and supporting day-to-day operational meetings with senior executive clients, client teams, and consulting leaders. You will support areas such as strategic planning, financial management, monitoring and compliance, and stakeholder engagement to provide full lifecycle grants management support.

Specific Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Collaborate with your project team to establish or enhance grants management processes and procedures across the entire grants lifecycle for federal health clients

  • Serve as a critical team member for federal grants management transformation projects, helping to guide clients through complex grants transformation efforts using approaches grounded in best practices for federal grants management, process improvement/optimization, change management, and stakeholder engagement

  • Apply critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills to collect quantitative and qualitative data (e.g., interviews, focus groups, surveys, document and dataset review)

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and develop meaningful insights to address complex organizational challenges and support client decision-making

  • Support the end-to-end development of client work products and presentations, such as root cause and gap analyses, findings and recommendation reports, requirements documents, process flows, standard operating procedures, strategic plans, strategic communications, and reporting dashboards

  • Build and sustain meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues

  • Contribute to positive, inclusive team culture and collaborative working environment

  • Understand and use firm capabilities, solutions, and methodologies

  • Support internal and business development initiatives, such as communities of practice and proposals

What You Will Need:

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "NACI"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their NACI prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE NACI or SUITABILITY are preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • ONE (1) or more years of professional experience in grants management strategy, transformation, process improvement, technical assistance, recipient engagement, and/or evaluation

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Change management, process improvement, or project management certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green, Yellow Belt, CAPM)

  • Experience supporting federal health organizations (i.e., CDC)

  • Ability to think strategically while delivering tactically, with a keen attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Experience performing data analysis and using findings to recommend and implement improvements

  • Experience developing new and re-designing existing processes to meet new and/or evolving business requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels in an organization; ability to develop visually appealing and impactful communication materials

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute as a team member, understanding personal and team roles, contributing to a positive working environment by building relationships with team members, and proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback

  • Experience prioritizing and handling multiple tasks, researching and analyzing pertinent client, industry and technical matters, and utilizing problem-solving skills to achieve desired outcomes

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
