Job Description
The Manager, Transaction Management will support transactions (acquisitions, dispositions and debt capital markets) due diligence and closing coordination. The ideal candidate must exhibit organization and strong communication skills across multiple platforms and passion for multifamily real estate.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of transaction experience in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, operations, or real estate investment banking. This role will report to a Director of Transaction Management and will lead due diligence on respective assigned acquisitions and dispositions for LivCor. The candidate will manage and assist in reviewing property documents and the coordination of due diligence tours and third-party vendors.
This person will be the lead point of contact with all sellers to coordinate new acquisition activity, communicating with both Blackstone's transaction team as well as the LivCor team (Debt Capital Markets, Investments, Portfolio Strategy, Capex, Asset Management, Risk, Tax, Accounting and Legal Teams). This person will also assist in closing activities, working closely with Outside Counsel. The Manager, Transaction Management, will also be point of contact with brokers and buyers on dispositions. This role will work with the LivCor team, including Debt Capital Markets, Investments, Portfolio Strategy, Asset Managers, Marketing, Strategic Initiatives, Legal, Outside Counsel, Capex Directors, and Operating partners to coordinate Broker Opinion of Values, diligence materials and work with the buyer/broker through the sale process.
  • Manage the coordination of all aspects of due diligence for new multifamily acquisitions including, prepping for DD, onsite visits, internal review calls, DD document review, prepping for closing, closing, and post-closing activities.
  • Manage the coordination of all aspects of the disposition process including, preparing for market, actively marketing, call of offers (CFO), buyer selection and under contract, and closing phases.
  • Manage the broker opinion of value (BOV) process including, preparing property materials for brokers, assisting in answering property questions, managing BOV timelines, submitting BOV's to BX for review.
  • Manage the review of documents and coordination of due diligence, tours, and third-party vendors.
  • Review third party reports and seller provided statements of operations.
  • Schedule investment due diligence related to operational performance.
  • Communicate closely with the Investments team on deal timelines and notable items.
  • Serve as main point of contact with Buyers and/or Sellers throughout the life of the deal.
  • Communicate with other LivCor departments ensuring proper coordination to onboard and offboard assets.
  • Manage one or two direct reports.
  • Perform targeted projects.
  • Minimal travel required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant real estate experience (asset management, operations, transactions (dispositions or acquisitions))
  • Passion for real estate and investing
  • Experience in multi-family real estate and transactions preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of high achievement in demanding professional and academic settings
  • Experience in managing others
  • Superior analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and all Microsoft office applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, motivated, energetic and independent with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent references

Additional Information
$125,000.00 To $140,000.00 Annually. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company's base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
Total Direct Compensation: This job is also eligible for discretionary compensation on an annual basis.
