Job description

The following are the Relevant Skills and Knowledge required to perform the Duties and Responsibilities of the position titled "Accounting Specialist". The Accounting Specialist is to to be primarily an in-house person that can make sure the Directors of other business units (i.e. Sales, Implementation, Field Service) are working in unison and have the adequate financial information necessary for day-to-day operations. The Accounting Specialist reports directly to the Accounting Manager. Relevant Skills and Knowledge Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks). Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers. Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently. Job Duties and Responsibilities Record day-to-day transactions Manage accounts payable and receivable. Process customer requests to update account information. Assist customers in setting up auto-pay in Rev.io. Request ACH payment information and W-9s from new vendors. Complete ACH authorization requests from customers. Assist Accounting Manager in filing 1099s. Allocate revenue and expenses to projects. Maintain financial files and records according to policies and procedures. Maintain products & services in QuickBooks. Assist Accounting Manager with month-end and year-end close. Attend weekly accounting meetings. #J-18808-Ljbffr
