Job description

Title:

Tram Driver

Position Summary

Tram Drivers operate tram vehicles in a safe and professional manner as outlined in the tram driver training manual with emphasis on customer service and vehicular safety. Tram drivers provide narration for the tour of the Garden grounds, collections, and exhibits.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of vehicle including fueling and cleaning.
  • Provide safe transport of passengers through the Garden grounds while providing narrative explanation.
  • Observance of both institutional and departmental policies and protocols.
  • Conduct all transactions in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by the Visitor Services Department.
  • Act as a Visitor Services Attendant and/or perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Driver License for a minimum of one (1) year.
  • Must have excellent communications skills.
  • Must be available to work weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
  • Previous customer service experience desired.

Physical Demand & Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. The employee may be required to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time and may also be asked to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Schedule

  • This is a temporary part-time role.
  • Candidates must have open availability from 9 AM to 6 PM on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), as well as availability for at least 2 weekday

Rate

  • $21 per hour
