CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to join our PMCM Team in Albany, NY; Syracuse, NY; or Rochester, NY. In this pivotal role, you'll champion major capital projects from concept to completion, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and help drive our mission to create cleaner, safer, and more resilient communities.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that includes both office and work from days based on location and project needs; however, during active construction, routine on-site presence and regular travel to project sites are required. Assignments are primarily regional, with expected travel throughout the Hudson Valley, North Country, Capital District, and Central New York, and reporting to the assigned office as needed.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of private and public sector projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality completion
  • Serve as an advisor for clients, collaborating closely to ensure their needs are met across all project sites and assist in identifying and hiring project employees
  • Lead and mentor project teams, setting vision and strategy for other Project Managers and supporting the professional growth of junior staff
  • Communicate project updates clearly to clients, management, and teams; prepare for and participate in monthly project review meetings
  • Prepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, project schedules and closeout documents
  • Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management as well as interfacing with financial institutions to secure project funds
  • Oversee adherence to project-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and Quality Management Plans, ensuring all projects achieve the necessary QA/QC compliance standards
  • Develop and sell project work with clients, embracing a "seller/doer" role to drive business growth in addition to leading marketing plan development
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, science, planning, engineering management, or a related field required; or equivalent combination of experience and licensure
  • Minimum of 11 years of industry experience required; minimum of 8 years of project management experience required
  • Expert knowledge of project engineering and/or construction principles and schedules required
  • Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and interpreting client contract requirements
  • Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents
  • Proven ability to manage project accounting processes (budgeting, forecasts, cash management)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required; knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and/or Deltek Vision preferred
  • Ability to solve problems with urgency and independently drive initiatives from concept to completion while overseeing multiple projects
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and build relationships in a team environment with a primary focus on collaboration
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt style for various audiences
  • Consulting industry experience and/or experience managing client relationships with investor-owned utilities is highly preferred
  • Professional licensure preferred
  • Regular travel required

Salary Range: $165,000 - $175,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
