Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Director of Group Living at Tuscaloosa Academy for Growth & Change in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  

 Tuscaloosa Academy for Growth & Change (TAGC) is a secure residential program for at-risk female youth.  Through our staff training, TAGC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment, and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, an on-site school, a vocational training program, consistent medical care, and an outdoor recreation area. Pay: $58,000.00

What you will do: The Director of Group Living is a member of the Site Management Team, oversees residential services and living units, and serves as the Program Director in his/her absence.  Primarily responsible for managing all available resources in a manner that provides the students with the highest level of care and ensures the Rite of Passage program is being implemented in accordance with ROP policies and procedures and Federal, State, and Local licensing requirements.  The Director of Group Living reports to the Program Director and supervises the Shift Supervisors and direct care staff.

To be considered, you should: Possess a BA/BS in a related field (a master’s degree is preferred); have four years of related experience in residential facility management.  Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry ~ Must be able to meet the requirements of an ROP-eligible driver, including having a valid Driver’s License

Schedule/hours/shifts: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Evenings, Overnight, and Weekend hours as needed). Additionally, you will be on-call, 24/7, to respond to any emergencies
