Position Title: Key Kids Program Assistant (Multiple Vacancies)
Group Affiliation/Policy: Non-Affiliated, Community Education
Classification: A-1-2, Key Kids Program Assistant
Hiring Range: $14.40-$19.14 per hour
Exempt Status: Non-Exempt
Winona Area Public Schools Community Education is seeking candidates to fill several Key Kids Program Assistant positions, Monday through Friday, from 2:00pm - 5:00pm.
Responsibilities: Program assistants provide assistance to program supervisor, and are responsible for providing a safe, enriching environment for children in a K-5 childcare setting. Responsibilities include supervising and encouraging children to participate in activities, planning, organizing, and collecting fees for activities, handling any discipline, and preparing snacks and supervising lunch area.The program attendant also helps with the daily organizing of games, equipment and supplies, and the supervising and cleaning of the center, and outdoor areas as needed. 
Qualifications: Applicants must possess the desire to work with children in a childcare care setting. Qualified applicants would have the ability to sit, stand, bend, and play on the floor, and indoors and outdoors with children. Preference may be given to candidates with training or experience working in the human services field, and/or with previous advisor work experience.
