POSITION PURPOSE

Develop, train, implement, and continuously improve curriculum, best practices and policies for a diverse Material Services team. Develop, monitor, and periodically update Hazmat (DG) training curriculum as required by Republic and as regulated by the Federal Aviation Regulations. Provide departmental support and subject matter expertise to the Material Services team. Develop, implement and publish departmental tools including but not limited to KPI's, job aids, documented policies and procedures, Materials Alerts, and Comply 365 notifications. Ensure departmental and company manuals are accurate and up-to-date and initiate communication on compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Develops and maintains training programs and materials for the Material Services department. Scope including, but not limited to, federally required OSHA HAZCOM, company Forklift certification, Suspected Unapproved Parts, instruction on the accurate use of our Inventory Tracking System, and the interpretation and application of departmental and company policies and procedures found in various Republic manual sets.

Develops and maintains federally mandated HAZMAT (DG) Shippersfunction specifictraining which is required for each Material Specialist via initial and bi-annual recurrent classes.Ensures instruction and training and practical compliance to annual DG regulation changes

Organizes, schedules and conducts training programs targeted at individuals with a broad range of experience level and background.

Maintains online training records to insure and demonstrate compliancetointernal and regulatory requirements.? Provide records for review by internal and external auditors as necessary.

Develops, adjusts, and maintains departmental KPI's to ensure compliance with departmental objectives.

Evaluates associate performance as needed and performs OJT analysis and offers strategyand performance feedback and makesrecommendation to Materials Management on proposed changes to individuals work practices and processes.

Screens, Interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential associates.

Assists with the continuous improvement of the department.? Evaluates current departmental processes.? Assists with the writing of manual updates and revisions.? Develops workflow processes and flow charts.? Gathers data, determines root cause(s) and provides recommendations for changes.

Develops and leverages multimedia training aids such as,iSpring, SharePoint, audio and video recording, SCORMS, MS Teams, SumTotal and other tools to insure an immersive and comprehensive training experience.

Coordinates with Departmental Supervisors and Managers on best practices and coordinates monthly base audits.

Represents the department for meetings and events.

Collaborates with other departments such as Supply Chain, Maintenance Training, and Safety to coordinate and ensure compliance to internal and external policies and regulations

Participates in departmental goal setting and takes a lead role on project teams to respond to issues or needs in support of department goals.

Fostersand demonstratesthe Company's core values and culture throughout the work environment.

Maybe required augment any position within the Material Services department as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.

Associate's degree (A.A.) in Aviation, Supply Chain, Management, or related fields.

Requires at least 3 year of experience in materials management or related areas.?

Required proficiency MS Office products, training and database software.

Must be able operate forklifts and other machinery.

Must be able to pass and remain current on 49CFR / IATA Hazmat Shipping Course.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain or related field.

Development of training curriculum and teaching / training experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.? Able to write routine reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.? Able to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
