POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Shields Point, LLC (SPLLC) , a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, has an exciting opportunity for a Training Manager supporting the New Boston Space Force Station located in New Boston, New Hampshire. The Training Manager is responsible for identifying and assessing training needs, creating tailored training plans, and implementing various training methods to enhance employees' skills and performance. They monitor training program effectiveness, manage budgets, and stay updated on training trends. Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers. Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations. Deploy a wide variety of training methods. Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions. Monitor and evaluate training program's effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them. Manage training budget. Provide opportunities for ongoing development. Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary. Maintains a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs.
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals.
  • Good computer and database skills.
  • Coordinates all contract required training consisting of but not limited to firearms, weapon qualifications, legal updates, intermediate weapons, officer response tactics, defensive tactics, fire safety, telecommunications, and emergency preparedness.
  • Develops master training plans, delivers required education and training classes. Maintains training records. Ensures compliance with orders, policies, and procedures. Completes all required reports, forms, and other documentation in accordance with established procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Pursuant to a government contract, this position requires US citizenship status
  • Possess and maintain Secret Clearance
  • Valid Driver's License
  • No felony convictions
  • Pass drug screening
  • Possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Law enforcement or Security experience may be substituted for post high school education
  • Must possess experience and demonstrate knowledge of teaching tactics, unarmed defense, intermediate force, first aid/CPR, and other security and/or law enforcement methodologies
  • Must be a certified Firearms Instructor from NRA or Federal Law Enforcement Agency or be able to successfully complete the training with demonstratable experience in Firearms Proficiency
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent skill using Microsoft applications
  • Must be capable of learning new computer programs and applications
  • Ability to write legibly, using proper grammar and spelling
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the client, public safety other employees and the public
  • Works closely with the Contract Program Manager and assumes Program Manager responsibilities in their absence
  • Monitors Staff for Project Contract Compliance

Salary range: $105,000 to $115,000 per year
