Kitchen ManagerRusty Lantern Markets | Bellingham, MA

$21-$25/hour + Monthly Bonus Potential

Are you passionate about food, leadership, and creating an exceptional customer experience? Rusty Lantern Market is looking for a hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our growing food service operation in Bellingham, MA.

This is more than a kitchen job. We're looking for someone who can inspire a team, maintain high food quality standards, develop new menu ideas, and help grow one of the most exciting food programs in the convenience retail industry.

What You'll Do

As Kitchen Manager, you'll lead the daily operation of the kitchen while ensuring every customer receives fresh, high-quality food and outstanding service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing fresh, high-quality menu items every day
  • Leading, coaching, and training kitchen team members
  • Managing food ordering, inventory, and food cost controls
  • Working alongside our Food Service Director to create seasonal offerings and develop new recipes
  • Ensuring food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are consistently met
  • Scheduling and staffing within labor budgets
  • Tracking inventory, shrink, and product usage
  • Driving sales growth through exceptional food quality and customer service
  • Creating a positive, team-focused work environment
What We're Looking For
  • Previous kitchen leadership, restaurant management, deli management, or food service management experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Passion for food quality and customer service
  • Ability to coach and develop team members
  • Experience managing inventory, food costs, and ordering preferred
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends
