Job description

The Role

As an Implementation Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of ClearDemand's pricing optimization platform for new customers — from kickoff through go-live. You'll manage the project across five concurrent workstreams (Project Design, Discovery & Requirements, Data & Integration, Solution Configuration, and Training & User Acceptance Testing), coordinating internal data and software engineers alongside customer stakeholders to hit target implementation timelines. This is a highly cross-functional, customer-facing role for someone who is equally comfortable running an executive status meeting and digging into a data mapping issue.

What You'll Do

  • Own and manage the end-to-end implementation project plan for new grocery and food-retail customers, driving ClearDemand's target timeline across five concurrent stages: Project Design, Discovery & Requirements, Data & Integration, Solution Configuration, and Training & UAT.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during implementation, building trusted relationships with category managers, pricing analysts, IT stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  • Lead discovery and requirements sessions to translate a customer's pricing strategy, business rules, and organizational structure into ClearDemand platform configuration.
  • Partner closely with ClearDemand's data and software engineers to scope, validate, and troubleshoot customer data integrations (POS, cost, product hierarchy, and related feeds).
  • Coordinate solution configuration across modules — Competitive Intelligence, Regular Pricing, Promotion, Markdown, and Tobacco — based on each customer's rollout sequence and requirements.
  • Plan and deliver end-user training and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring customer teams are confident and ready ahead of go-live.
  • Proactively identify risks and roadblocks across concurrent workstreams and drive mitigation plans to keep implementations on schedule.
  • Track and communicate implementation status, milestones, and risks to internal leadership and customer stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple concurrent customer implementations, each potentially in a different stage of the process.
  • Ensure a smooth, well-documented handoff to the Customer Success team at go-live, including configuration decisions, open items, and customer context.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of ClearDemand's implementation methodology, templates, and playbooks based on lessons learned.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in implementation, project management, professional services, or customer onboarding for a B2B SaaS platform; experience in retail, grocery, or pricing/revenue management is strongly preferred.
  • A track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with competing timelines and interdependent workstreams.
  • Comfort working with data — familiarity with data mapping and integration concepts, and the ability to translate technical data requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong facilitation skills, with confidence running discovery workshops, training sessions, and customer status meetings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to customer executives.
  • A self-starter mindset suited to a fast-paced, remote-first environment with minimal oversight.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with retail pricing, promotions, or merchandising concepts; PMP, CSM, or similar project management certification; experience with tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, or MS Project.
