What You'll Do

Sol De Janeiro is looking for an experienced Sales and Training Account Executive to join the America's Field Sales Teams. This candidate will be responsible for building brand awareness, driving sales, and delivering best-in-class customer service. Our Sales and Training Executive will work closely with the Regional Manager of Field Sales and Training, Executive Director of Field Sales and Training and the Global Education Team, as well as retail partners to maximize consumer-facing initiatives and drive strategic in-store programs, events, and education.  

 The position will be reporting to the Regional Manager of Field Sales and Training for the territory 

What You'll Be Working On

RETAIL SALES PERPORMANCE:  

  • In collaboration with Regional Sales Manager, establish a focus door list based on sales goals and current performance monthly 
  • Plan quarterly call cycle with Reginal Sales Manager to accommodate both sales volume and geographic factors. 
  • Develop seasonal plans with retailer partners to achieve retail sales goals through planning support, events and training schedules and participation in training and strategy meetings.  
  • Establish and develop strong relationships from store leadership to store-level employees within assigned territory.  
  • Quarterly comprehensive business review with elevated leadership to include Regional Manager. 
  • Evaluate inventory levels for products when conducting store visits and communicate needs based on account specifications.  
  • Constantly evaluate sales results and revise strategies based on successes and challenges. 
  • Support and maintain visual merchandising updates and needs based on merchandising guidelines and retail Planogram. (POG)  
  • Provide consistent feedback from store visits, events, and training through a weekly recap 
  • Responsible and accountable for strategic T&E budget decisions and overall compliance.  
  • Manage and develop retailer Beauty Advisors to become brand advocates.  
  • Receive a minimum of 3 brand surveys/quarter with an average score of 4.6 or higher  

TRAINING:  

  • Conduct ongoing training on new and existing products based on call cycles. Training formats include formalized off-the-floor sessions where possible as well as on-floor Brand Focus Day training. 

EVENTS AND SCHEDULES: 

  • Schedule to be completed 60 days in advance. utilizing Microsoft Outlook and retailer booking portals to maintain consistency and accuracy 
  • Work a minimum of 6 hours in-store daily, with 2 designated office days per month. Office days are every other Wednesday, and a schedule will be provided by the territory Regional Manager. 
  •  Work with our freelance vendor company to hire, onboard, and schedule freelance territory coverage as necessary. Oversee the freelance spending budget to ensure market coverage without exceeding the set limit.  
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy between freelance agency and retailer scheduling portals to ensure freelancers are booked 30 days ahead. 
  • Schedule, plan and execute events in stores monthly which will include single branded events, multi-branded events, and FSC Events. Minimum 20 events/quarter with 90% goal achievement. 
  • Maintain a record of accomplishment of all event execution within your territory and submitting event results weekly 
Must Haves 
  • A bachelor's degree is desirable but not required. Some college or equivalent (such as an esthetician license) is required. 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in skincare/hair and body field sales or account coordinator roles, with experience in product training and sales. 
  • Should be proficient in MS Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). 
  • Must have experience working with Sephora and/or Ulta Beauty. 
  • Schedule & Availability: This role requires flexibility to support the needs of the business, including working Saturdays and approximately two Sundays per month, with regular days off typically falling on Sunday/Monday or Monday/Tuesday. Availability during key product launches and major retail events is essential, and schedules may be adjusted to support critical business priorities.
  • Have a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle with all required documentation to operate legally on public roads; must be able to commute easily within the territory and willing to travel outside the area for events or meetings. 
  • Should have an energetic, positive, and service-oriented personality and be skilled at relationship-building. 
  • Should be passionate about skincare, body, and hair products, and implementing brand education and training initiatives. 
  • Must be focused, show excellent attention to detail, and demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to their work. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. 
  • Able to stand for up to 8 hours a day, with breaks. 
  • Spends at least 80% of time in the field/in store. 
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
