The Clinical Development Specialist (CDS) is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that enhance the skills and professional development of healthcare associates delivering direct patient care. This role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for improving patient outcomes and care quality across various clinical settings. With a focus on fostering growth and competency among care providers, the CDS works closely with fellow clinical development specialists to align efforts, address team needs, and support organizational goals related to staff education and professional excellence.
Education
Graduate from an accredited Associate School of Nursing; a Baccalaureate School of Nursing (BSN) is preferred or actively pursuing a BSN degree.
Certifications
ACLS, BLS and PALS required; instructor cards or AHA Training Center Faculty status and Certification in specialty area of nursing preferred at time of hire or must be obtained within eighteen months of hire.
Licensure
Current Georgia RN or a multi-state license meeting eNLC criteria professional licensure as evidenced by primary source of verification
Experience
Minimum of three years of clinical experience in clinical setting specific to role. Leadership experience and previous teaching skills are preferred.
Skills
Proficient nursing skills as per the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to teach others.
