Divisional Training Manager - Commercial

Position Overview

In this highly visible role, you'll partner with divisional leaders, HR, and training teams to build and execute innovative learning strategies that develop leaders, strengthen talent pipelines, and support business growth. You'll influence stakeholders at all levels, identify capability gaps, design scalable development solutions, and drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with T&D Director & Divisional Leadership to identify and develop a strategy for Training & Development that is consistent with the overall objectives of the facilities, division, and organization.
  • Work alongside HR Director and HR Management on talent management, performance management, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Promote and inspire a culture of excellence with our manufacturing leaders and associates through the effective application of the Shaw Way and Performance Experience (PX).
  • Conduct needs/gap analysis, and collaboration with department managers and team managers/supervisors throughout the facility to determine and define training needs
  • Partner with the corporate learning and development department to facilitate and oversee programs such as new associate onboarding, on-the-job training, leadership development, team building, and change management.
  • Coach and develop training professionals at both the management and support levels within the division. Provide coaching to training departments on needs analysis and the ADDIE model
  • In collaboration with the leadership team, design and foster an energetic and exciting learning environment across the division while ensuring improvement of knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to drive business results.
  • Champion the use of new technologies, systems, programs and organizational learning and development initiatives such as Core Pathways, Accelerate Development Experience (ADX), LinkedIn Learning, etc.
  • Develop division-wide evaluations of training, in line with Kirkpatrick's model, that measures training effectiveness and the ROI of training
  • Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs, while applying principles of adult learning theory and individual differences.
  • Serve as business consultant to develop individualized development programs that drive results.
  • Manage multiple projects and collaborate with different areas of the organization and business partner groups
  • Lead and/or participate in initiatives that assist the division and the company involving change management or other change initiatives
  • Facilitate culture and other training related to associate engagement survey results across the division.
  • Stay abreast of current trends in the fields of organizational development & effectiveness, training & development, and talent management, sharing learning and best practices with Divisional Leadership.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Business, HR, or Industrial Organization Degrees preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience leading a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective training and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry trends and best practices in training and development
  • Excellent project management experience, organizational, and time management skills
  • Work off-shifts if needed (2nd & 3rd)
  • Travel up to 50% (typical travel within the Northwest GA area)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Training Manager
  • Experience leading learning and development initiatives in a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environment
  • Certifications in Talent Development, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or related disciplines (ATD certifications preferred)
  • Experience facilitating leadership development programs, training delivery, and coaching leaders at multiple levels
  • Background in organizational development, organizational design, talent management, or internal consulting
  • Experience conducting needs assessments, identifying capability gaps, and designing scalable development solutions
  • Familiarity with instructional design methodologies (such as ADDIE), change management, and learning effectiveness measurement
  • Experience leveraging talent and learning technologies to support workforce development and organizational growth
