A Taste of What You'll Do

You will lead the strategy and execution of sales training and development for GALLO New Jersey's field teams, ensuring our Sales Representatives and Merchandisers have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to exceed goals. By partnering with Sales Leadership, Human Resources, and cross-functional stakeholders, you'll design innovative learning solutions-from onboarding and modular field coaching to advanced sales seminars-leveraging analytics, adult-learning best practices, and our GALLO University platform. Your insights will shape curriculum updates, digital learning experiences, and performance metrics that drive continuous improvement.

In this role you'll manage a team of trainers, coordinating resources, budgets, and schedules to deliver consistent, high-impact programs. You'll oversee the creation and evolution of orientation materials, pre-work assignments, manager toolkits, and assessment tools that measure skill adoption and business outcomes. By cultivating strong relationships with regional managers and field talent, you'll ensure timely feedback, recognize successes, and address performance gaps. Your leadership will foster intrapreneurship-encouraging experimentation, data-driven decision-making, and a culture of ownership that empowers every team member to innovate and learn from challenges.

Your day-to-day could include facilitating train-the-trainer sessions, reviewing module completion reports, analyzing ROI on learning initiatives, and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion in all program content and delivery. You will serve as an advocate for career growth, creating clear development pathways for high-potential individuals and ensuring every voice at GALLO is heard and supported. What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 year of retail sales experience including experience as a District Manager for a period of time that includes, but is not limited to, the Holiday periods; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of retail sales experience including experience as a District Manager for a period of time that includes, but is not limited to, the Holiday periods.
  • Required to be at least 21 years of age.
  • Required to obtain a solicitor's permit as required by state/locality.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to have a car or personal transportation to access multi-store locations within assigned area and transport large point of sale materials
  • Required to lift and move 45-50 pound cases of product.
  • Required to be physically capable of executing all essential functions to perform the job.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, etc. 4 days a week in field at manager's discretion
