Role Description

Are you an instructional designer who is passionate about artificial intelligence and the future of work? Do you believe that thoughtfully curated, well-designed learning is the key to building organizational AI fluency and unlocking the full value of generative AI tools across the enterprise?

The Instructional Designer, AI Learning will report to the Team Lead, Enterprise Training Solutions. Our Enterprise Training Solutions team is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to lead the build-out of QuadReal's internal AI Education library. In this dedicated role, you will be more than a content developer; you will be a learning strategist, a content curator, and an architect of QuadReal's AI literacy. You will design a tiered curriculum that takes employees from foundational AI awareness through to advanced, function-specific application, curating the best of what leading providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Microsoft, and others have to offer, and developing original QuadReal-specific content to close any remaining learning gaps. If you are excited about helping a national organization adopt generative AI responsibly, confidently, and at scale, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

AI Learning Strategy & Needs Analysis:

  • Partner with business leaders, IT, and functional stakeholders to identify AI learning gaps across the organization, from foundational AI literacy for all employees through to advanced, role-specific use cases for power users.

  • Design and maintain a tiered AI curriculum (foundational, intermediate, advanced) that aligns to QuadReal's approved AI tools, responsible AI principles, and business priorities, recommending the right learning modality for each gap, whether eLearning, virtual instructor-led training (VILT), short-form video, job aids, or community-of-practice content.

Content Curation & Original Development:

  • Curate 30+ learning paths using content sourced from third-party content provider platforms, Anthropic, OpenAI, YouTube, and other leading sources, evaluating content for accuracy, relevance, and alignment to QuadReal's context, and integrating it into structured learning pathways.

  • Develop QuadReal-specific AI learning content in partnership with the AI Community of Practice and other key stakeholders to address gaps that off-the-shelf content does not cover, including interactive eLearning modules, prompt libraries, use-case walkthroughs, instructional videos, and quick-reference guides.

  • Write exceptionally clear, concise instructional content, storyboards, scripts, and support documentation that translate complex AI concepts (e.g., prompting, model limitations, responsible use, data handling) into practical guidance for non-technical audiences.

  • Administer the third-party content provider platform, including organizing content, maintaining learning pathways, supporting learner access, and monitoring platform usage to ensure a high-quality learner experience.

Library Build-Out & Delivery:

  • Develop polished, on-brand learning solutions using modern authoring tools, and structure the AI Education library within the LMS so content is intuitive to navigate, easy to search, and clearly organized by skill level and function.

  • Stay current with the rapidly evolving AI landscape, refreshing the library on a regular cadence as tools, models, and best practices change, and piloting new content with focus groups before broad release.

Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization, acting as QuadReal's internal champion for AI literacy, responsible adoption, and knowledge sharing.

  • Own the full project lifecycle for the AI Education library, from initial scoping and curriculum mapping through development, stakeholder review, deployment, and ongoing iteration.

  • Manage the upkeep of all AI learning materials within our Learning Management System (LMS), retiring outdated content, tracking learner engagement and completion, and using those insights to continuously improve the library.

Experience and Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate instructional design, with demonstrated focus on AI, EdTech, digital skills, or technology adoption learning programs.

  • Demonstrated experience curating and evaluating third-party learning content from multiple providers and integrating it into a coherent in-house curriculum.

  • Working, hands-on familiarity with leading generative AI tools, including Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), and Microsoft Copilot, with a solid grasp of practical prompting techniques and responsible-use considerations.

  • Expert-level proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360 Suite, Adobe Captivate, Synthesia, Scribe), and exceptional content writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into clear, engaging, and effective learning materials.

  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to own a multi-stream content roadmap simultaneously from inception to completion. Experience with ClickUp is an asset.

  • Excellent client service, verbal/written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Preferred:

  • A strong portfolio that showcases sophisticated learning solutions you have designed and developed, ideally including AI, digital skills, or technology adoption content, that demonstrates your instructional design methodology and technical skills.

  • Experience designing learning for change management and large-scale technology adoption initiatives, particularly involving emerging or rapidly evolving technologies.

  • Experience in the real estate industry.

  • Knowledge of a major ERP system (Yardi experience is an asset).

  • Previous exposure to the administration of a Learning Management System (LMS).

  • A strong understanding of adult learning principles and modern learning science.

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to derive insights from data.
