Job Responsibilities:
Scope of Position
  • Manages the training, educational and development programs to transfer knowledge and skills to improve employee performance.
  • Assesses training and development needs for the organization.
  • Oversees the administration of all training documentation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor degree in education, training, human resources, or related filed, considered a significant asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure safe and effective operations, safeguarding people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Proven experience in coordinating and managing multiple training events from start to finish.
  • Familiarity with both traditional and contemporary training methods to engage diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Hands-on experience with e-learning platforms, enhancing remote learning opportunities and technology integration.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to effectively support training activities.
  • Exceptional time management, public speaking, problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and build productive relationships.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement annual training plans across all functions, with a primary focus on Operations.
  • Design and create tailored training programs (both outsourced and in-house) to meet the unique needs of the organization.
  • Select and implement appropriate training methods and activities (e.g., simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development courses) to maximize learning outcomes.
  • Promote available training opportunities to employees and provide essential information about upcoming sessions.
  • Conduct organization-wide training needs assessments to identify skill and knowledge gaps, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Apply proven educational principles while staying current with emerging training methods and best practices.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and assess their impact on employee skills, performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain an up-to-date training curriculum database and comprehensive training records for all employees.
  • Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality training.
  • Design, implement, and oversee safety and professional development training programs, ensuring they align with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Review equipment operating procedures, technical specifications, and potential hazards to incorporate relevant safety and training content.
  • Conduct comprehensive safety and training orientations for new employees, covering OSHA compliance and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the Apprenticeship program, ensuring compliance with program standards, curriculum certification, and accurate documentation for all training elements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the training department.
