Requisition Summary

PACCAR Engine Company is looking for a Communications & Training Manager. This position is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing enterprise-wide training programs while leading strategic internal communications initiatives. This role ensures alignment between employee development, organizational messaging, and business objectives to drive engagement, performance, and operational excellence.

Job Functions / Responsibilities 

  • Training & Development Leadership
  • Work with various departments to develop and deliver myriad trainings, for example, onboarding training for production team members.
  • Primary contact for training, including curriculum design, development, tracking and facilitation of training for managers, supervisors and employees.
  • Develop and coordinate with Operations training programs to effectively increase employee competency in their area of specialty.
  • Train or facilitate classes solo or along with other subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate and assist with Production related pre-hire and new-hire training/testing.
  • Prepare training materials and manuals to meet training needs.
  • Assist with maintaining required training records and documentation as required by ISO compliance procedures.
  • Adapt training techniques to the learning style of the training group.
  • Develop and facilitate train the trainer course for shop level trainers encompassing soft skills, team building, facilitations skills, and visualization.
  • Ability to present ideas, concepts, feedback, issues and questions in a well-thought out, positive and professional manner to trainees.
  • Ability to evaluate trainee performance progress and redirect if applicable.
  • Partner with Operations, Human Resources, Safety, Facilities and Quality to develop new or evaluate current SOP's identifying training gaps for new or existing work processes to remain current with best operating practices.
  • Directly or indirectly supervise the trainers across multiple shifts and departments.
  • Internal Communications Strategy
  • Create PACCAR Engine Company HR marketing communications for internal use is not limited to quality, safety, efficiency, and morale.
  • Prepare publications and communication tools for tours, safety activities, events, community events, and employee engagement events such as a Weekly Newsletter, SharePoint Graphics, Flyers, etc.
  • Continuously optimize communication channels and formats with Advanced Technology not limited to AI.
  •  Manage and Standardized communications such as all employee meetings, plant wide, leadership updates, and organizational announcements.
  • Partner closely with HR on priority communication areas including and not limited to: Benefits and total rewards, Talent programs (onboarding, development, performance), Safety and compliance messaging, Employee Events, etc)
  • Collaborate with other business departments to ensure aligned and coordinated communications
  • Support internal training material for PACCAR Engine Company HR utilizing PowerPoint and videos.
  • Manage various vendors for communication and HR /Employee Events and related needs. (i.e. printed material, signage, employee engagement products, entertainment services, offsite venues, etc.)
  • Provide support to PACCAR Engine Company HR initiatives, goals, activities, and administrative tasks.
  • Responsible for taking pictures on Internal Events and Coordinating Employee Professional Pictures for PACCAR Engine Company.
  • Support recruiting strategy communications for PACCAR Engine Company Employees.
  • Management, Maintenance and Design of HR SharePoint and Employee Portal.
  • Positively promote events to reflect PACCAR's strong ethical and professional image.
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies.
  • Create messaging for key initiatives and policy updates.
  • Ensure consistency across organizational communication channels.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Training, Communications, Marketing, Event Management or HR.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreadingrequired 
  • Aestheticsensibility 
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention todetail 
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and prioritize and manage multiple marketing tasks, projects and deadlines with enthusiasm and without jeopardizing quality
