Job description


Position Summary:
The Training Solutions Manager will oversee the content and solutions development team for maintenance and technical training. The manager will influence decisions of training content modality and translation of business needs into skill based and knowledge transfer learning solutions. This position will manage projects and oversee overall program design to ensure solutions are aligned, sustainable and flexible to the growth and changes of the business and learners. The manager will be responsible to leverage technology to support the modernization of training for the maintenance department. In addition to managing projects, this role will optimize team processes within unit or across the maintenance training team to enhance overall efficiency and speed to market. The position is the main point of contact to prioritize and resolve issues related to training content and solutions development.
Major Responsibilities:
• Manages direct reports through weekly assignments and project timelines to deliver training solutions such as training content, course and program design, material curation.
• Ensures deliverables meet SME or stakeholder expectations, and content is engaging, interactive, professional and modern.
• Ensures training solutions are designed to drive skill development and effective knowledge transfer of learners.
• Project manager for cross collaboration of maintenance training team projects, including but not limited to HOW2 projects, special projects, tech showdown, content development, maintenance or training process improvement projects. Responsibilities include planning, resource time management, progress monitoring, risk assessment, and keeping upper management informed.
• Uses problem solving to determine needed advancements and solutions in a process or training related opportunity. Assist Maintenance teams with process and product testing.
• Serves as a key maintenance training team lead on strategic alignment, planning, resource allocation, effectiveness evaluation, and business value analysis.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Resources, or Organizational Development preferred
• Six Sigma, Project Management, and Instructional Design certifications preferred
• 10+ years' experience with designing training with emphasis on adult education
• 10+ years' foundation knowledge and use of learning theory and instructional design techniques
• 10+ years' project management experience
• 5 years' experience with leading teams or responsible for the performance of others
