Job description

Job Title:

Full‑time Clinician‑Researcher at the Associate Professor or Professor rank in the Department of Neurology at WVU School of Medicine, West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute.

Description:

The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI) is a comprehensive multidisciplinary patient care, education, and research institute providing neurological and mental healthcare through more than 300,000 visits annually.

Qualifications:
  • Must hold an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure.
  • Must have completed a psychiatry or neurology residency program and an ACGME/UCNS accredited neurology fellowship program.
  • Must be ACGME/UCNS board certified. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Duties:
  • Practice in the area of cognitive and behavioral neurology including mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, and related disorders.
  • Provide excellent patient care and be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Develop and sustain an independent, externally funded research program in clinical neuroscience.
  • Design and lead clinical trials, observational studies, and investigator‑initiated research.
  • Publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at national/international conferences.
  • Collaborate across departments and disciplines to foster innovative research initiatives.
  • Mentor trainees and junior faculty in research methodology and career development.
