Position Summary
The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an open rank faculty position on the tenure/tenure track, variable track, or fixed-term track. 
This position will place a strong emphasis on research activities focused on infectious diseases and requires a researcher with significant technical skills and a broad knowledge base. Preference will be shown for candidates with extramural funding or potential to gain extramural funding, and for persons that are willing and able to mentor trainees in infectious disease research and grant writing. Responsibilities will include preparation of clinically relevant publications and application and securing of grant funding.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
PhD or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
