Job Summary:
The Arizona Attorney General's Office Child and Family Protection Division/Appeals Section is seeking an Administrative Assistant I. The position will provide administrative support to Staff Leadership, Assistant Attorney's General, and legal support staff under the direction of their supervisor. The position will perform a variety of administrative tasks such as picking up and distributing the section's mail, filing, timely scanning and dissemination of information to the appropriate staff, copying, data entry into the case management system Legal Files, and is responsible for routine correspondence and reports. The position is also responsible for organizing and maintaining the data related to their case assignments, which include validating data, calendars, contact legal entities in requesting confidential legal documents, deadlines and assignments. Regular attendance is required in this position.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
Job Duties:
• Research various databases and websites to obtain and validate case status and obtain information pertaining to case litigation, as it pertains to appeals; responsible for appropriate scanning, and data entry into case management system.
• Appropriately maintains and dockets all calendar events, deadlines and case activities within the case management system to ensure accurate reflection of case activity and status.
• Interaction with the client agencies, appellate attorney's, Attorney General Office employees, private counsel, various courts and the general public.
• Preparing and organizing case files in accordance with essential procedures.
• Preparation of standard reports and correspondence related to case activity and assignments.
• Other duties as assigned as related to the position.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of administration.
• Ability to apply administrative operations under limited supervision and fast-paced environment.
