Job Title: Livestock Procurement Trainee
Location: Columbus Junction, IA 52738
Salary: USD $60,000/yr - $65,000/yr + Benefits + Relocation Assistance
Direct Hire - Full Time

Job Description:
We are currently hiring for a Hog Procurement Trainee position for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a livestock production background.
Role Responsibilities
โ€ข Assist with livestock receiving activities including sorting, weighing, counting, and identification.
โ€ข Train alongside experienced hog buyers in the field.
โ€ข Learn hog procurement programs, carcass merit, harvest sheet information, and other buying procedures.
โ€ข Support scheduling and coordination of livestock deliveries.
Requirements
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related livestrock background required.
โ€ข Livestock experience is preferred.
โ€ข Basic computer knowledge and strong communication skills required.
โ€ข Must be detail-oriented and open to overnight travel when needed.
