Job description

Reno Staffing is looking for an Entry Level Extruder Operator for a custom fabricator in the Red Rock area of The North Valleys.

Are you looking to learn a new trade? Our client, located in the Red Rock area of The North Valleys, is looking for Entry Level Extruder Operators! This position is temp to hire, THC & Felon Friendly, and not too far from the bus stop!

Shift: Weekday Graveyard shift 11pm- 7:30am
Pay: $18/ hr
Location: Red Rock area in the North Valleys
Summary:
Working with PVC pellets and molding them via a heating process to create custom and every day plastics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.
  • Read product specifications to determine dye and material requirements.
  • selects positions, and secures dies, cutters and other auxiliary equipment to extruders.
  • Set up extruders and adjust machines to meet specifications.
  • Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operations. Adjust machine operations as needed.
  • Stacks, marks and packs finished goods for transport.
  • Performs minor machine maintenance.
  • Assists other operators to set up machines and pack finished goods.
  • Maintains good attendance.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Maintain a neat and safe work environment.

Competency:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Eager to learn something new!
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and understand instructions in all forms.
  • Basic math skills. ( addition, subtraction, division and multiplication)
  • Previous experience is not required.
  • Will not be tested for THC.
  • This client is felon friendly. But will not consider individuals with outstanding warrants.
