Trainee Infection Control Certification Jobs (NOW HIRING)

This job is responsible for the initiation of Infection Control measures throughout the system according to accepted standards and regulatory requirements. Responsible for maintaining records and prepares reports related to infection control data; infection surveillance activities to identify, investigate, document and assist in resolution of nosocomial infection issues; maintains IC policies and procedures congruent with state and regulatory agencies and assures compliance with same; plans, develops, and directs staff education related to infection control policies and standards; identifies actual/potential patient and employee exposures and responds in accordance with CDC recommendations, regulatory requirements, and company policy. This job maintains professional relationship with physicians, employees, and leaders as they assist in identification and reduction of infection control concerns. Effectively communicates infection control concerns to IC Committee Chairperson and Employee Health Physician as appropriate; and develops and circulates minutes of the Infection Control Committee Meetings as facilitator of this committee. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Education Required - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field
• Preferred - Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field
• Work Experience Required - 2 years experience in a clinical setting including one year Infection control experience
• Certifications Preferred - Certified Infection Control certification

• Knowledge of basic biology
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong Communication skills
• Delegation skills

• Supports Infection Control program and policies.
• Manages data, analysis and dissemination of Infection Control information.
• Implements Infection Control education & training.
• Maintains records and prepares reports.
• Other related duties as required.
