What is a trainee clinical psychologist?

Trainee clinical psychologists are individuals who are undertaking a structured training program, typically a doctoral degree, to become qualified clinical psychologists. During their training, they gain supervised experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a range of mental health issues in various settings. They also complete academic coursework and research projects as part of their qualification process. The aim is to prepare them for registration as fully qualified clinical psychologists upon successful completion of their training.
