Job description

Position Summary:

Clarity ITS is seeking a motivated Estimator / Engineer to join our growing Engineering Department. This position is ideal for someone with field experience seeking to transition into an office-based engineering and estimating role. The successful candidate will work closely with our Sales, Operations, and Engineering teams to design systems, prepare proposals, review project documents, and develop accurate cost estimates.

Minimum Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED (required)

· At least one (1) year of hands-on field experience in the low-voltage systems industry

· Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software applications

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate work

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience or working knowledge in at least one of the following:

· Structured Network Cabling

· Access Control Systems

· CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems

· Intrusion Detection / Burglar Alarm Systems

· Audio/Visual (AV) Systems

Additional qualifications that are highly desirable:

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets

· Strong computer aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills

· Ability to read architectural drawings and construction documents

· Experience with estimating, quoting, or project coordination

· AutoCAD experience (or willingness to learn)

· Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals

· Familiarity with industry manufacturers and products

· RCDD certification or other industry certifications (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities:

· Review customer drawings, specifications, and project requirements

· Design low-voltage system solutions

· Prepare accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates

· Develop professional customer proposals

· Coordinate with Sales, Project Management, and Operations

· Assist with product research and equipment selection

· Maintain engineering standards and documentation

· Support project handoffs to Operations after award
