Associate Network Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Associate Network Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This role is ideal for an early-career networking professional who enjoys a blend of technical problem-solving, client interaction, and hands-on infrastructure support.
The Associate Network Engineer will provide Tier 1-3 technical support across client environments and internal systems, assisting with network administration, implementation projects, troubleshooting, escalations, and ongoing client engagement. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers while developing expertise across multiple technologies, including networking, cloud, and security platforms.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 1-3 technical support for client and internal infrastructure environments.
  • Troubleshoot network, connectivity, systems, and security-related issues.
  • Manage and resolve support escalations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in client implementation and deployment projects.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand technical requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and third-party providers to resolve technical issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document findings and resolutions.
  • Assist with network monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, and performance optimization.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and support activities.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support business and client needs.
  • Work closely with engineering team members to share knowledge and support successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications
  • Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
  • 1-3 years of professional IT, networking, infrastructure, or technical support experience.
  • Experience supporting two or more technology domains, including networking, cloud, cybersecurity, systems administration, or related technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with clients and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP), consulting, or client-facing environment.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, wireless technologies, and network security concepts.
  • Additional technical certifications are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
