POSITION SUMMARY
AES is seeking a Global Operations Manager to support Boeing Dreamlifter Operations across domestic and international locations. This role is responsible for developing and delivering operational training programs focused on cargo handling, load planning, specialized aviation ground support equipment, and operational readiness.
The ideal candidate will bring strong aviation operations experience with a background in oversized cargo operations, military or commercial airlift environments, load planning, operational training, or specialized cargo handling. This position works closely with operations leadership to ensure personnel are properly trained, qualified, and aligned with Boeing, regulatory, and operational standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and deliver operational training programs related to cargo handling, load planning, aircraft loading coordination, and specialized cargo operations.
  • Support the development and qualification of operational personnel across multiple domestic and international locations.
  • Design and maintain operational procedures, training materials, and standardized work instructions supporting Dreamlifter Operations.
  • Conduct on-site training, operational assessments, audits, and compliance reviews to ensure operational readiness and consistency across all locations.
  • Partner with operational leadership to identify training gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure training programs align with Boeing, Air Carrier, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support operational readiness through hands-on instruction, procedural standardization, and operational guidance.
  • Maintain training documentation, qualification records, and related reporting requirements.
  • Travel regularly to support training initiatives, audits, operational launches, and ongoing station support activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Operations, Training & Development, Logistics, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in aviation operations, operational training, cargo handling, military or commercial airlift operations, or specialized oversized cargo environments.
  • Previous military or commercial Loadmaster experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting C-130, C-17, or comparable heavy cargo aircraft operations highly desirable.
  • Experience with load planning, widebody cargo operations, aircraft loading coordination, heavy cargo handling, and specialized cargo operations required.
  • Ground instructor, operational training, or aviation training program leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation ground operations, cargo handling procedures, and specialized cargo loading systems.
  • Experience with IATA cargo operations and aviation operational compliance requirements preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to train and influence diverse operational teams.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and training management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational and training priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global operational environment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time; must hold a valid passport or have the ability to obtain one.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
This position will be performed on a Boeing site. As such, candidates selected for this role will be required to undergo and successfully pass Boeing's Security Background Screening process.
