We are looking to hire a Trading Assistant who will help to bridge the working relationship between the Portfolio Management Team and Execution Team. The successful candidate will:

  • Ensure trades are captured accurately by internal risk systems. Capture end of day risk and ensure trade blotter is clean and that all trades are booked.
  • Collaborate with operations team to ensure smooth settlement of all trades.
  • Aid in Portfolio management bookkeeping tasks to limit residual interest rate and FX risk.
  • Control the futures' delivery process to ensure Portfolio Managers are trading the current, most liquid futures contracts.
  • Manage NDF fixing risk.
  • Aid with PnL reconciliation for Fixed Income, FX, and Interest Rate focused strategies.
  • Work in close integration with software development team to optimize Pharo's start to finish trading processes.

Required Qualities and Skills:

  • 0 – 3 years' experience on a trading desk at an investment bank or buy-side firm.
  • Strong academic background with a demonstrated interest in international finance, mathematics, or macroeconomics.
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with a proclivity to self-start.
  • Quantitatively inclined with proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
  • Capacity to grasp and learn new topics and concepts.

Pay Range in New York:

  • Base salary: $90,000 - $125,000/year.

Work status and location:

  • Full-time in New York.
