What is a Trading Academy?

A Trading Academy is an educational organization or program that provides training and resources for individuals interested in learning about trading financial markets such as stocks, forex, commodities, or cryptocurrencies. These academies typically offer courses, workshops, and mentorship on strategies, risk management, technical analysis, and trading platforms. The goal is to help beginners and intermediate traders develop the knowledge and skills needed to trade successfully and manage their investments wisely.

What types of training and mentorship can new hires expect when joining a Trading Academy program?

New hires in a Trading Academy typically benefit from a structured blend of classroom instruction, simulated trading exercises, and one-on-one mentorship with experienced traders. The program often includes regular feedback sessions and opportunities to collaborate with peers, fostering a supportive learning environment. Additionally, trainees may rotate through different desks or asset classes to gain a broad understanding of trading strategies and market dynamics, helping them identify their strengths and interests for future specialization.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a Trading Academy role, and why are they important?

To thrive in a Trading Academy role, you need a solid understanding of financial markets, quantitative analysis, and risk management principles, typically supported by a degree in finance, economics, or related fields. Familiarity with trading platforms, financial modeling software like Excel or Python, and relevant certifications such as CFA or FINRA licenses is highly beneficial. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are crucial soft skills for success. These competencies ensure accurate decision-making, effective risk mitigation, and adaptability in fast-paced trading environments.

Job description

SR PERFORMANCE MARKETING MANAGER TRADING ACADEMY - (Remote) - United States

About Trading Academy®

Trading Academy is a global leader in financial education, providing individuals with the knowledge, tools, and support to build skills and confidence in the financial markets. Through a combination of in-person instruction, online learning, and ongoing student support, Trading Academy is committed to helping students make better financial decisions in any market.

The Role

We are hiring a Senior Performance Marketing Manager to own and improve our Meta advertising program. This is a senior individual contributor role where you will manage the platform daily, test multiple campaign variables and own the outcome. There is no team to manage. We need a hands-on operator to evaluate data, develop strategies, get buy-in from leadership, and deliver results.

What You'll Do

  • Leverage our Meta Conversions API (CAPI) connection to drive Scale and Cash ROI improvements in our Meta campaigns
  • Build, launch, and scale Meta campaigns to deliver qualified buyers and cash ROI, not just lead volume.
  • Evolve our Meta campaigns and performance based on a deep understanding of our KPIs and first-hand experience in leveraging CAPI for other businesses.
  • Work with our Director of Business Optimization to align incremental, data-driven test design
  • Manage long sales-cycle, event-based campaigns from top of funnel to revenue conversion.
  • Adjust campaigns to consistently deliver monthly cash, buyer, and sales targets.
  • Utilize off-platform analysis to diagnose and improve campaign performance.
  • Mitigate lead fraud and low-quality traffic proactively.
  • Collaborate closely with creative, analytics, and sales teams to close the loop between ad spend and business results.

What We Require

  • 3+ years of experience with Meta Conversions API: leveraging, maintaining, and optimizing a Meta Conversions API (CAPI) connection.
  • Hands-on experience with server-side event architecture, deduplication logic, Event Match Quality (EMQ) improvement, and parameter enrichment are required.
  • Deep, hands-on fluency across Meta's full platform stack: Events Manager, Ads Manager, Advantage+ and ASC campaigns, value-based lookalikes, Aggregated Event Measurement (AEM), and the Meta Marketing API.
  • Experience with server-side event implementation — whether through server-side GTM, Meta's Conversions API Gateway, or direct API integration. In short, illustrate a proven ability to leverage and evolve a Conversion API to deliver performance improvement.
  • A documented, progressive track record of scaling spend while improving efficiency — cost per qualified lead down, ROAS up, consistently. Be prepared to discuss specific numbers, accounts, strategic and technical decisions you made and why.
  • Strong analytical capability applied directly to business outcomes: cash ROI, cost per buyer, and qualified lead quality.
  • Experience operating with channel ownership and accountability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with big-ticket, high-consideration products and offers with long sales cycles.
  • Event-based or webinar-style lead generation campaigns.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and landing page tools.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary ($90,000–$115,000)
  • Comprehensive benefits - health, dental, vision, 401k
  • Access to full suite financial education products
