Position Summary:

The Senior Trade Operations Analyst serves as the bridge between distribution and specialty pharmacy data and operations. This role transforms complex distribution and specialty pharmacy datasets into actionable intelligence, driving business outcomes and program performance across both the IBSRELA & XPHOZAH brands.  The role collaborates cross-functionally to implement complex projects, optimize service delivery, and ensure high-quality standards in the management of our specialty pharmacy programs.

This position leverages account management, data analytics, and commercial knowledge to support and facilitate timely access and updates on Ardelyx products serviced by our distribution partners. The Senior Trade Operations Analyst partners closely with key team members such as Strategic Account Managers, Trade Operations Manager, Field Reimbursement Managers, Commercial Analytics and other internal stakeholders to ensure operational metrics, data discrepancies and program requirements are optimized.  

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze key access, service and trade performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve business outcomes and program performance
  • Prepare analytical reporting and present to senior management on findings and make recommendations driving key strategic initiatives
  • Analyze operational trends and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, enhance the patient experience across our distribution partners and coordinate resolutions to distribution partner issues reducing time to treatment for patients
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders in support of quicker access to treatment at specialty pharmacies
  • Perform variance analyses and investigate unexpected changes in trade performance, customer purchasing behavior, and distribution trends
  • Partner with the Trade Operations Manager to produce monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports on inventory, sales, trade spend, and customer performance
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly business reviews and operational updatesBottom of Form for internal stakeholders and distribution partners, as appropriate
  • Identify opportunities to improve trade operations processes, reporting, and data quality through process improvements and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field with 6 - 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical market access, trade operations, analytics, specialty pharmacy, account management, or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of trade distribution, specialty pharmacy operations, reporting and analytics
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution channels, including wholesalers, specialty distributors, and specialty pharmacies
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage cross-functional relationships and collaborate with external partners
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate complex data and recommendations effectively
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools for data analysis and reporting is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze complex data, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Ability to travel as needed
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $140,000 - $171,000. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.     
 
Ardelyx also offers a robust benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan with generous employer match, 12 weeks of paid parental leave, up to 12 weeks of living organ and bone marrow leave, equity incentive plans, health plans (medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision), life insurance and disability, flexible time off, annual Winter Holiday shut down, and at least 11 paid holidays.
