Position Overview:

Ferguson is searching for an experienced Regional Marketing Business Partner (Ferguson Home) to support customer marketing and sales enablement programs for our residential Build audiences. This position will be highly cross-functional and work closely with designated regions and leadership across the company to leverage marketing resources to find opportunities for customer and category growth, and develop strategies to help the business succeed. This role will cover a wide range of marketing tactics from promotions to event planning to advertising and digital marketing, placing our customers’ needs at the forefront of marketing initiatives.

Location:

This position supports Region 6, 7 and 8 (Northwest, Southwest and West Regions). Ideally, this Ferguson associate will reside in these regions and/or out of our corporate offices in Newport News, VA, according to company policy. Some travel (once a quarter) in the regions.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and implement marketing initiatives for residential build and showroom audiences including, but not limited to, content development, social media, print collateral, email marketing, customer events, and other region marketing efforts with the goal of growing business at the region level.
  • Develop marketing strategies for assigned regions through marketing initiatives and activities focused on existing customer growth and new customer acquisition.
  • Foster relationships with region leadership and suppliers to support the business plan and sales growth strategy.
  • Develop marketing programs and sales promotions to promote customer retention and growth.
  • Implement product promotions and campaigns including digital and print sales enablement materials, social media, email marketing and digital content.
  • Work with internal strategists to develop marketing materials and promotions including print/sales collateral, social media, digital signage, web content, email, promo/merchandising and direct mail for sales associates and customer engagement.
  • Cultivate customer partnerships through utilization of new technologies, value-added services and digital services with third parties.
  • Measure, review and report outcomes of promotional activities to ensure effective use of funds, performance against program critical metrics and efficient use of resources and tactics.
  • Proactively design and adjust marketing plans to meet changing markets and conditions.
  • Leverage vendor-provided marketing funds for promotional programs, customer engagement and marketing tactics for assigned regions.
  • Handle internal communication with sales teams to ensure awareness of customer marketing initiatives and available assets.
  • Collaborate with operations and sales teams to identify new tools, training materials, in-store collateral (i.e., signage, POP, etc.) and customer engagement opportunities.
  • Promote and maintain corporate identity, brand and design standards, and the enterprise value proposition and expand brand recognition and awareness of Ferguson.
  • Prepare and present marketing reviews for assigned region and assist in preparation for other marketing team and business meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field; or equivalent channel marketing work experience.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in marketing, ideally in trade industry, or 7-10 years’ industry related experience in HVAC, plumbing or residential building.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Highly organized and ability to thrive working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with excellent attention to detail and on‑time delivery.
  • Proficiency in MS Office a requirement; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, etc.
