Description
Purpose
Drive pull through business and demand generation within the Softwood Plywood segment. This includes developing and executing strategic and tactical initiatives for the segment and collaboration with sales, operations and logistics to meet business objectives. The goal is to ensure the business meets its client and shareholder expectations of value creation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with national and regional distributors, OEM's and builders to drive pull through demand for Roseburg products
  • Work directly with code officials, architects, the Roseburg Architectural Specifications Manager, building designers, engineers, dealer technical associates and sales personnel, developers, framers, and builders to educate, train and establish an understanding and knowledge of assigned segment that will enable them to actively specify, design, purchase and properly install products
  • Coordinate and manage sales efforts within specific accounts; assume accountability for reaching or exceeding target volume, return and sales levels, all while maintaining discipline within prescribed SG&A guidelines
  • Create and maintain a Client Centric culture in all business activities
  • Implement usage of agendas and performance figures for appropriate level client sales meetings and business reviews
  • Ensure high value of time and asset management, as well as preparation
  • Communicate the needs of the client to all internal Roseburg stakeholders by analyzing, organizing, and presenting data, facts and logic
  • Establish and maintain a successful market intelligence network
  • Actively attend and participate in trade shows, other local and national builder events to promote Roseburg

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in building products sales and/or sales leadership
  • Firm understanding of Softwood Plywood
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and implement change in an organization
  • Experience with and demonstrated use of best practices in a functional role (i.e., sales excellence, operations excellence)
  • Evidence of involvement in the development and execution of strategic plans
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and align with other functional groups in an organization
  • Excellent professional, written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understand and exhibit a sense of urgency
  • Strong self-motivation and organizational skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately 30% of the time, scaled as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with national and regional builders
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Sales & Marketing
  • Product technical experience through sales or design
