Job description
Additionally, this position will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of documentation outlining best practices supporting STLA's internal continuous improvement initiatives and the development of product technology roadmaps.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechatronics / Systems /Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in high voltage/high power/electric vehicle environments, Power electronics/electrical models, and simulation experience
- A minimum of 3 years of Power Inverter/Traction Inverter development experience
- Demonstrable familiarity with power electronics and devices
- Understand engineering protocols, design specifications, and standards
- Understand component HW circuitry and failure modes
- Good technical knowledge in applications engineering and product design/development (specifically within an automotive context)
- Good working level knowledge of DVP&R and DFMEA
- Good analytical, problem-solving skills and methodology
- Familiar with Power Electronics analysis and simulation tools
- Highly motivated and a self-starter
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to interface professionally with key customers, cross-functional teams, and all levels of personnel/management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and able to manage multiple responsibilities, one's own time, while being mindful of deadlines
